All About Guts

At school we are learning about body systems.

I have to find some pictures of body systems for my homework.
I looked for some pictures on Google of guts.

I am interested in the guts where it digests the food.

Scorpions

The most dangerous scorpion lives in North Africa. It is called the Death Stalker.
It can sting a dog and it will die in five hours and if it stings a person it will die in three hours.
Most other scorpions poison take seven hours to kill something.

Scorpions are part of the Spider Family.
Scorpions eat other insects but they eat each other when they can't find other food.

Lizards sometimes eat scorpions!

Slice of Life Story: Oakley Creek

I don't like Oakley Creek.
I don't like it because it makes me feel sick.
The animals and the water, also the trees.
The water is brown and full of poo.
There is rubbish and bugs and eels.
I will like it more if it was clean.
We cleaned Oakley Creek but it still needs more cleaning.

I really like the annoying orange cos its got lots of jokes in it too. The Annoying Orange never gets cooked or squashed or eaten but all the other fruits do.

My Favourite Star Wars Stuff

I like Star Wars it my most favourite movie cos it has lots of wars and stuff like force and jedis and ships and siths.

I like playing with my lego star wars. I've got so much rare guys.

I am saving up to get some more lego.

I want the TX11 Jedi Striker but it costs $125 at Toyco and $150 at the Warehouse. I would rather get it at Toyco than the Warehouse.

I would also love to have the Lego Star Wars Complete Saga for Playstation 2.
I will earn the money doing jobs. my dad owes me $11 already and I am going to do some more jobs to get some money.

When I was on Easter Holidays I used my Easter money to get Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.
Last time I wrote about movies I said i wasn't aloud to get it but I did. It is the oposite what i said!
I watched it with my mum and my dad. My dad had never seen it before. He liked it.
All th rest of the star wars episodes are PG but Episode III is M because there is lots of wars in it.

My dad and mum liked when yoda said to Anakin "fear and anger is the path to the dark side".
I said to my mum there is lots of lessons to learn from episode III.

Player of the Day

These photos are from my second game for the Metro Leopards. I got a hat trick and we won. I was worried about the game cos I heard that this team were really good but we beat them by a lot.

Then the next week was my brothers' birthday party and it was raining so my mum didn't come to take photos. That was a hard game and it was the hardest team. they were undefeated and we were undefeated and we knew it would be hard.

We won! It was a hard game. we won 11-3.
I got Player of the Day!
I got the trophy and at night we went to the Metro clubrooms and i got my certificate in front of erveryone. And I got a pack of chips and a can of sprite and some vouchas.

This weekend there is no game because it is Easter.
I love playing for my new team, they rock!

Metro Leopards: My New Team

On sauterday it was my first soccer match. we won 7-1 I sored two maxi scored two harry scored two and jack scored one. my team wears black and red. westernspings wear green and white. and they are called wanderas. i enjoyed my first match!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the books because dav pilkey is a funny author. he's been writing the books since he was a kid and he got told off by his teacher because his tecaher said if you keep writing books like this you;'ll never be a proper author. She said, nobody wants to read books about farts and underpants.
And he is a proper author!
And lots of people love his books including me and all my friends and family.

Interview with an All White!!

On Friday afternoon the phone rang. Dash answered the phone and who was calling? Ivan Vicelich, the All White, that's who.


Dash was offered the chance to Interview an All White footballer through Kiwi Mummy Blogs and the Persil "Dirt is Good" campaign. Persil are now sponsors of the Small Whites, encouraging kids soccer here in New Zealand.


So we were all ready for our interview when the phone rang, with questions that Dash had come up with by himself (with just a few suggestions from his mummy).

We had hoped to be able to interview Ivan on Skype, but the old fashioned telephone had to do... so while Dash was talking to Ivan, Mummy googled pictures of him so Dash would know who he was talking to.


Of course dash already actually knew, because he is such a football fan. He already knew plenty about Ivan. But we still had to ask the questions...

THE INTERVIEW


DASH: How long have you been playing soccer?
IVAN: I started when I was around 6 or 7 years old for Massey AFC.


MUMMY: *whispers* But how long is that? We don't know how old he is...


IVAN: I'm 21! Hahahahaha... No really I'm 34 so I've been playing for a long long time.

DASH: How many goals have you scored for the All Whites?
IVAN: 6 or 7 goals for New Zealand, the last one was against Fiji in the World Cup qualifier.


DASH: How did you get to be an All White?
IVAN: I started playing football when I was young, I was always practising and playing with my brother and cousins> I was always kicking the ball, always juggling - you know, keep-ups - working hard and having a dream to play for the All Whites.

DASH: Yeah but how did you get picked?
IVAN: I kept on playing as I grew up, kept doing well, working hard. I started getting recognised and picked for teams. Eventually I got picked for New Zealand when I was 17 and got to play against Uruguay for 25 minutes and really enjoyed it.


DASH: What city Club do you play for?
IVAN: I started out at Massey AFC, then played for Waitakere City, then Central United, then Kingz FC (which is now the Phoenix). Then I went and played in Holland for 8 years, then returned to Auckland City FC. I recently spent five months in China playing for Shenzhen Ruby, but now I have returned to Auckland FC again.

DASH: Wow. Lots of clubs.What's the best thing about being an All White?
IVAN: Knowing that you're playing for your country. It's a great honour for me to play for my country and knowing that when I put the shirt on, I have all of New Zealand supporting us. It's a special feeling which is really unique.


DASH: What do kids have to do if they want to be an All White?
IVAN: It starts with what you're doing now. Play hard, listen to your parents, listen to your coaches. Enjoy football and also put a lot of work in, and sacrifice along the way. But always enjoy football. And keep progressing and working hard cos its a long and difficult road, but a very enjoyable road and if you make it to be a professional footballer or an All White.

DASH: What position do you play?
IVAN: I'm a central defender, central midfield, a utility player. I can play on the right or left.
One day I want to move up and be a striker.


DASH: What's your best advice about football?
IVAN: Work hard and always have a dream and work towards that dream. And always believe in yourself. You can reach your goals, there's no reason why you can't be an all white or play professionally. It's hard work but it's worth it.


DASH: Cool. Well I think that's the end of my questions. Do you want to talk to my mum now?

IVAN: Sure. But first I have a question for you. What position do you play?


DASH: I started off as attacking midfield, but now I play striker. 


IVAN: Cool. So you're already where I want to be! Do you score lots of goals?


DASH: We've just started training for this season but in all the other games I have scored heaps of goals.

MUMMY: Yeah, Dash is a great goal scorer. In his first season he scored 35 goals.


IVAN: Wow, that's impressive! Do you get dirty when you play? 


DASH: When I played for my school I did. It was really muddy and rainy.


IVAN: Well, Dash, it's been nice talking to you. I have to go now but get in touch with me if there's anything I can help you with OK?


DASH: OK. Bye.

MUMMY: *whispering* Say thanks to Ivan...


DASH: Oh, yeah, um, thanks Ivan for letting me interview you!


IVAN: no worries :)

Before he hung up the phone Ivan told mummy, he wouldn't have been able to get where he has in football without the support of his parents. he said his mum was always sitting in the car with a book or her knitting, waiting for him to finish training.


"Support from the parents is so important," he said.


Don't worry Dash, your mum and dad will be supporting our future All White all the way. We believe in you, boyo!

My Cat Called Dave

On Friday I saw a cat.
Me and Jono wanted to keep it and when Abby came back she saw the cat and she wanted to keep it too.
That night I was sad because my parents wouldn't let us, and it was raining.
the cat wanted to come in but it couldn't.

So I let it come in for a little while but I wasn't allowed to keep it in cos it might of had some germs or fleas.
After that I made a bed out of a box with a towel and a Bob the Builder toy.
And then I made it milk and some tuna.

On Monday my mum got it some cat food biscuits.
they are green and brownish and we have adopted it and it has adopted us.

He is black and grey stripes.
We have called him Dave, which is short for "Dave Shaun Allan", my favourite name.

(Dave off Alvin and the Chipmunks, Allen off my Uncle Allan and Shaun off a random name)

Some movies I liked lately are...

Despicable Me.
It's so funny I want to marry it.

And I loved Megamind.
It's really funny when the fish pretended he was megamind but then he was faking that he died and he was being a drama queen.
Megamind trained this guy to be a good guy but then he turned into a bad guy and megamind had to be the hero and save everyone so he wasn't a bad guy anymore.
When megamind was training the guy he pretended to be a old granpa joe so he wouldn't know it was really megamind who was traning him!

But my favourite of all is Revenge of the Sith.
I have seen it once at my friends house but then my mum and dad wouldn't let me watch it again cos it is a (M).

But I really want to have it. then I would have the whole collection of star wars dvds.

I love the battle in the lava but my mum thinks it is too scary for me.
But it's not even scary!

I like when anakin turned to the dark side and then he killed everyone. Obi wan and yoda were broken hearted.
